Airtel airtime transfer which is also called Me2u is a service that let you easily share your airtime with your family and friend who are also Airtel subscribers.
Only Airtel subscribers can use Me2u service. In other words, you can’t use Me2u code 432 for your Glo, Mtn, or 9mobile line.
Similarly, Airtel customers cannot share airtime with a Glo, Mtn, or 9mobile line.

The default Me2u airtime transfer pin is 1234 and with this pin, you can easily share credit with anybody you feel like sharing with. However, it is expected of you to change from the default pin to prevent an unauthorized person from transferring your Airtel airtime.
To do that simply send a message to 432, to change your Me2U pin.
Message format: Old pin New pin to 432. For instance, if you want to change from 1234 to 0101 on your phone open message and type ‘1234 0101’ and send it to 432.
Alternatively, to change your PIN on Airtel toolkit, follow the steps below
- Visit Airtel menu on your device
- Select ‘Airtel services’
- Select ‘Me 2 U’
- Choose ‘Change PIN‘
- Enter default pin 1234
- Choose any new PIN of your choice and save changes.
How To Transfer Airtime on Airtel line
Basically there are two ways you can send credit on your Airtel line to other Airtel subscribers.
First and foremost you can use USSD code to transfer airtime to any Airtel line. Follow the steps below to do so:
- Dial *432# on the phone you wish to send from;
- Select transfer airtime;
- Enter the recipient number;
- Enter your PIN;
- Select one to confirm your transaction.
Lastly, you can use SMS to transfer airtime. To do that simply Send a message from your phone containing ‘2u [recipient Phone Number] [Amount] [PIN]‘ to 432.
For instance, if you want to transfer ₦1000 to 08123456789 and your pin is 0101 — then the message format will be ‘2u 08123456789 1000 0101′ to 432.
Other things you should know
All ME2U airtime transfer is irreversible, therefore you must be very careful with your transactions. This will prevent you from making a mistake of entering a figure higher than what you intend to send.
Also, check to make sure the recipient number is correct before confirming your Me2u airtime transactions.
