Method 1. How to check GTB account number with SMS
You can know your GTBank account number by sending SMS on your mobile phone. All you have to do is:
- On your mobile phone open message.
- Type “My Account” and send it to 08076665555. This message should be sent without an apostrophe. In other words, only send the word My Account to 08076665555.
You will receive an SMS containing your Nigerian Uniform Bank Account Number (NUBAN), which is ten digits.
This message must be sent from the phone number you have linked with your GTB account; that’s the number you used in registering for an account.
Method 2. Dailing *737# Simple banking code
You can also check your GTB account number using USSD code, which is popularly called “simple banking”. All you have to do is dial *737*6*1# on your mobile phone. You’ll receive a message containing your GTBank NUBAN account number afterward.
Ensure you dial this code with the phone number you have registered with your GTBank account.
Method 3. Using GTB online or mobile banking service
You can check your GTB account number online by using either the mobile banking app or the internet banking website. However, this is possible if you have previously activated/registered your account for mobile banking or internet banking.
Mobile banking service
If you have a GTBank mobile banking app on your phone, all you have to do is log in to it, and your account balance will be displayed on the screen.
